description

The Variable Aperture Digital Radar (VADR) Application (VAPP) provides control of the VADR radar through a graphical user interface (GUI), allowing the radar operator to startup/shutdown the radar, configure the radar, monitor the health and status of the radar, control the radar operations remotely through man-in-the-loop and automated controls, view radar returns, and perform engagements. The VAPP provides the capability to install, uninstall, and configure the functional software controlling the radar’s behavior, known as radar function software.

The VAPP needs to run containerized on WarRoom, a suite of command and control (C2) applications to provide display of a common operating picture (COP). The goal of the VAPP is to enable a reconfigurable physical radar system that allows the user to select system characteristics to include, but not limited to: Threat emulation and other operational modes, Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP), antenna patterns, system behavior, electromagnetic spectrum operations, and tactical capabilities.
