F-5N/F Capability Upgrade

The F-5N/F is a high-altitude, high-speed tactical fighter which lacks modern safety systems, avionics, and tactical capabilities.  In order to improve and enhance the mission effectiveness of the aircraft and to meet existing and emerging requirements, the Government is seeking technical solutions that can be adapted from emerging and/or existing commercial capabilities and integrated into F-5 aircraft.  Specifically, the Government is pursuing development, production, integration and installation of prototype kits in two (2) Government-furnished aircraft, one (1) single-seat F-5N and one (1) twin-seat F-5F, with the potential to install the prototype kit in additional Government-furnished aircraft.
