Command Post Infrastructure

The legacy Standardized Integrated Command Post System (SICPS) tent-based command posts (CPs) present several operational challenges, including lengthy setup and teardown times, extensive cabling requirements, reliance on transit cases for transporting mission command and network systems, and increased vulnerability due to multiple signature factors—physical, electromagnetic, thermal, static, power, and auditory. Additionally, these CPs lack mobility and standardization, further limiting their effectiveness in dynamic operational environments.

To address these limitations, the Program Executive Office Command, Control, and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) has an urgent requirement to develop and field modern, mobile, and survivable CPs for the Army. This initiative seeks to replace the SICPS with expeditionary, adaptable, and agile CPs designed to enhance operational effectiveness and survivability across the full range of military operations (ROMO).
