The UNO Prototypes to be developed will demonstrate a new process for synchronizing and creating a seamless end-to-end Unified Network (UN), connecting enterprise and tactical echelons to support all warfighting functions. A Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)-compliant prototype is required to ensure these capabilities are modular and severable components that are not subject to vendor lock. The UNO Prototype will include a Simplified User Interface (SUI) that provides a unified, consistent look-and-feel for Soldiers across all network operations tasks. While users interact with the SUI, it interoperates with the other parts of the UNO capability.
