Radio-as-a-Service Pilot

The Army requires modernized tactical communications equipment with enhanced capabilities to stay ahead of security threats. Project Manager Tactical Radios (PM TR) seeks an industry partner to develop a Radios-as-a-Service (RaaS) approach focused on transforming the acquisition, fielding, maintenance, and upgrade of tactical radio capabilities. 

The primary objective of the Radios-as-a-Service prototype is to experiment with using an as-a-service model to provide and maintain inherently military capabilities, starting with tactical radios. This pilot will evaluate the feasibility of engaging suppliers to deploy radio capabilities through an outcome-driven, subscription model, to provide a more agile, cost-effective, and scalable method for the Army to maintain cutting-edge communication tools.
