Counter – small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Secure Communications Capability Insertion – Fixed Site Integrated Defeat Systems – International (FS LIDS-I)

The CUAS Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Integrated Defeat System for Fixed Sites (FS LIDS) is the US Army’s material solution to provide protection against enemy UAS’s. The current US Army system operates on a mesh network in conjunction with inline network encryptors. The network is not releasable to some Joint/Coalition forces, and has grown in Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) expectations making emplacement, tear-down and transportation of systems challenging. This project’s objective is to prototype a CUAS FS LIDS secure mesh network that can be utilized by US Forces while also being exportable to Coalition Partners (Five Eyes, NATO, Coalition, etc.) to the widest extent possible for facilitation of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases.
